I have cherished animals since before I knew how to read their names, starting with my first family dog, Scooby, when I was three years old. I have had many family pets over the years, and adopted my own first dog in 2019 from a rescue that works with shelters in South Korea, and advocates to end violence against dogs.

Working in the veterinary field is a change for me, having previously worked backstage in regional theater, as a daycare teacher, and as a supportive housing case manager. I came to Manchester Veterinary Clinic in 2020, with the realization that through every career choice I made, one thing had never changed; it was always a good day if I got to see someone with their pet. I love the way people light up when they talk about their animals. Having the opportunity to speak with people about their pets every day, and especially to help make people’s pets feel better, is the best thing that I can see myself doing.

I attended Central Connecticut State University, and received a bachelor’s degree in Communications, with a minor in Creative Writing. I took a particular interest in media theory, and particularly in expressions of gender in media. I am very close with my family, and live with my twin sister, Birdie (who also works at MVC!) and my boyfriend, Richie.

Outside of MVC, I spend a lot of time writing short stories, and love spending time in nature. We share our home with my dog, Jupiter, as well as my sister’s pets; her cat, Winslow, and her two guinea pigs, Rusalka and Philomena.
