Crystal with her dog Precious - Manchester Veterinary Clinic - CT - Trusted Vets For Your Pets

Crystal joined our team in 2014. She graduated from The University of Tampa in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and marine science. She has had a passion for animals her entire life and began her working experience with animals when she was 12 years old by volunteering at the Lutz Children's Museum and at a local horse stable where she worked in exchange for occasional riding lessons. She was also a member of a Veterinary 4H group where she shadowed and volunteered for a local veterinarian. In high school, Crystal was a part of the Vo-Ag (Vocational Agriculture) program with a focus in animal sciences and a member of the FFA (Future Farmers of America.)

As soon as she was old enough to have a paying job, she began working at PetSmart as a cashier, then receptionist, and then a dog bather in their grooming salon. In her senior year of high school she participated in a week long internship at the Bermuda Aquarium, which she recalls as the best week of her life. While in college she attended dog grooming school and became a professional dog groomer working in a salon and a mobile grooming unit until she returned to the veterinary field in 2012. Crystal has always had pets of her own, with the exception of when she was living on campus.
