Hannah

Veterinary Assistant

Growing up I always had a love for animals and the environment. I followed this passion at the University of Connecticut, where I earned a degree in Natural Resources with a concentration in Wildlife Management. During my time at UConn, I studied abroad in Tanzania, Africa with the School for Field Studies on a Wildlife Management program. This was one of the most amazing experiences of my life; going on safaris and camping in Tarangire and Serengeti National Parks and learning about the incredible animals that inhabit them.

After I graduated in 2018, I held multiple seasonal positions before finding my place at Manchester Veterinary Clinic, including: the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station where I assisted with research on honey bees and colony collapse disorder, the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Wildlife Division where I worked on the New England Cottontail Project, and most recently, the Connecticut Audubon Society where I was a counselor for a children’s nature camp. I am very excited to now work at MVC, where I can pursue my passion for animals!

In my free time you can find me running, reading true crime novels, hiking with my dog Zoe, and teaching nature lessons to kids at the Audubon Society in Glastonbury.
