I grew up in Vermont, and from a young age, badgered my parents into a life of cohabiting with animals. I succeeded with countless goldfish, one sassy hamster, many squeaky guinea pigs, and finally a beautiful puppy (my crowning achievement as an 8-year old!). In high school and after college, I volunteered at my local humane society to be around dogs as much as possible. I was a member of the Green Mountain Animal Defenders in college which prompted my choice to become a vegetarian. I graduated from Champlain College with a bachelor’s degree in International Business, thinking that my love of travel and people would provide more job opportunities than the animal field. After a few years in retail management, I decided to pursue a more emotionally rewarding career due to my love of animals. I completed an online Veterinary Assistant program through Penn Foster and spent 4 years at a local animal clinic. I started as an assistant and gradually cross-trained, finding my passion as a receptionist. I find that being a veterinary receptionist perfectly balances the business and people skills that I’ve honed with the perk of being around sweet animals all day! I recently joined Manchester Veterinary Clinic, and am excited to serve the Manchester community! When I am not soliciting puppy smooches at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our dog Woodford, and our abundant family and friends. I love trips to the beaches of New England, yoga, cooking and exploring nature.
