For as long as I can remember, my answer to the famous question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”, was always ‘a veterinarian’. Being as young as I was, not even knowing how to spell ‘veterinarian’ correctly, I didn’t fully understand what it was they did. I just thought they got to play with animals all day, which sounded like a dream to me. As I got older and became more involved with my family pets, I soon understood the field and the role of a veterinarian better, but it never deterred me away from the field. My love for animals and drive to help people only grew stronger as I ventured through grade school. After graduating high school, I began my college career at Manchester Community College with an Associate’s degree in Science; soon after starting there, I started my journey here at MVC, where I continue to grow and get to live out my dream of ‘playing with animals all day’.

I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor’s in Science majoring in Pathobiology. During my studies, I found my interest in pathology growing more and more. It was during that time that I made a life-changing career choice and decided to pursue a career in human medicine with hopes to further develop my knowledge and career in the Pathology field as a Pathologists’ Assistant. When I am not working here at MVC, I am working as a Biopsy Technician at Manchester Memorial Hospital with Eastern Connecticut Pathology Consultants. You may also find me on occasion waitressing at a Mexican restaurant called Coyote Flaco in Mansfield.

I have always been very giving of my time to those in need, including mission trips with my church to help fix damaged homes in New Orleans, Louisiana and West Virginia. I have volunteered my time assisting in the OB-GYN department at St. Francis Hospital, working at multiple Mission of Mercy Free Dental Clinics, as well as working at a local food share.

In my free time, I enjoy adventuring around New England finding new places to hike and admire. I love spending quality time with my niece, Bailey, and my nephew, David. I also enjoy the quiet moments, curled up with my dog, Etta James.
